National Honor Society

About National Honor Society at UMA

UMA is honored to have chapters of the National Honor Society at both of our campuses. NHS is a nationally respected organization that recognizes high school students excel in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Membership indicates that a cadet has not only excelled academically, but also works to improve the school and the community. 

Cadet membership in the NHS is by invitation. Near the end of each school year, cadets who meet the requirements will be invited to apply for membership. To be considered, a cadet must

  1. Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5
  2. Be going into their sophomore, junior, or senior year
  3. Have attended UMA for at least two terms.
