Biography
Tanner Larson
English Instructor
After attending Brigham Young University Idaho to pursue his dream of teaching, Tanner Larson received an invitation to student teach at Fremont high school in Weber school district. Upon completing that assignment and receiving his BA in history with an English minor, he returned to his home state of Texas, where he taught 9th grade English at the Yes Prep Brays Oaks campus.
He considers his greatest career achievement so far to be helping his ELL students improve their essay writing abilities, going from well below to exceeding the state average score for their writing. Tanner and his wife Heather enjoy hiking the many trails in Utah, enjoying the state’s natural beauty.
